Introduction to Professor Shizhen Wang’s Clinical Experience in Using Traditional Chinese Medicine Herbal Formulas for Throat Disorders 

Professor Shizhen Wang is a renowned professor at Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. She is also an principal instructor in the 3rd and 5th renowned National China TCM expert inheritance educational institution. Professor Wang held position as the dean and also the founder of the Otolaryngology Department at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. She is also the president of the Otolaryngology, the president of Oral and Ophthalmology professional committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, the academic advisor of the Otolaryngology Branch of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, and the chairman of the Otolaryngology Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Association of Chinese Medicine. She currently holds the honorary position as the president of the Otolaryngology, Oral, and Ophthalmology professional committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies and she is also a lifetime director of the Guangdong Provincial Association of Chinese Medicine. 

Through over 50 years of clinical practice, teaching, and research, Professor Wang developed a modern approach to TCM treatment philosophy. In this seminar, her work and the clinical experience for using classical TCM herbal formulas for throat disorders will be presented.

Dr. Jennifer Jianying Gao is a registered Doctor of TCM in British Columbia with more than twenty years of TCM clinical practice across China and Canada. She is graduated from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine Acupuncture Massage College. Dr. Gao  comes from a long line of TCM doctors in her family and inherits that passion to practice and to teach Traditional Chinese Medicine.
